Motiv se crta na računaru u punoj veličini i deli na delove, kao mapa. Svaki deo dobija svoju vrstu drveta.The design is drawn on a computer at full size and divided into pieces, like a map. Each piece is assigned a wood.
Za svaki deo bira se furnir po boji i smeru godova, a zatim se precizno seče laserom.Veneer is chosen for each piece by colour and grain direction, then cut precisely with a laser.

Laser donosi preciznost reza, ali ne i sliku. The drawing, the choice of wood, assembly, gluing and finishing are still done by hand, which is why no two pieces are the same.

Iza DM INTARZIJE stoji Dragan Maletin, primenjeni umetnik iz Novog Sada, i njegova porodica. Drvo ga prati od detinjstva: kao dečak se igrao drvetom i pravio razne sitnice, a ta igra je s godinama prerasla u zanat.Behind DM INTARZIJA is Dragan Maletin, an applied artist from Novi Sad, and his family. Wood has been with him since childhood: as a boy he played with it and made all sorts of small things, and over the years that play grew into a craft.
Intarziju je učio sam, gledajući kataloge i stari stilski nameštaj, na kome se ova tehnika najčešće i viđa. Kako sam kaže, tu se sklopilo više stvari: nešto talenta, upornost i ljubav prema drvetu i lepim stvarima.He taught himself marquetry by studying catalogues and old period furniture, where the technique is most often seen. As he puts it, several things came together: some talent, persistence, and a love of wood and beautiful things.

Zato je u radionicu uveo računar i laser. Motiv se crta u programu, laser precizno seče furnir, a sve ostalo, od izbora drveta do poslednjeg sloja laka, i dalje rade ruke. The design is drawn in software and the laser cuts the veneer precisely, while everything else, from choosing the wood to the last coat of lacquer, is still done by hand. It means patterns we usually see on wallpaper and curtains can be carried over into wood.

Some people come with an idea for a gift, others with an ornament from old period furniture they want on their own, and others with their company logo.
